This year we are celebrating 100 years of Cubbing worldwide. If we really want to know why Cubbing Rocks, who better to ask than the Cubs themselves….
We spoke to Valencio Abrahams (10) from St Mary’s Development and Care Center (DCC) Cub Pack in the Eastern Cape.

The toughest challenge was playing cricket because I don’t like it.

SSA: What makes a good Akela?
A good Akela is a person that respects us!
SSA: Why is your Akela special?
My Akela is special because she teaches us well and she loves us all.
