JOTA-JOTI is the world’s largest digital Scout event taking place online and over the air. It unites more than 2 million Scouts from over 171 countries every year for a weekend of Scouting and friendship. This year JOTA-JOTI will take place from 15 to 17 October.
Due to Covid restrictions we encourage SSA members to participate in JOTI from home, or in Patrols at a central location – SSA Covid regulations observed. All you will need is internet access, IRC chat, Skype, and the willingness to speak and learn from others.
For a JOTA event, we suggest contacting a local Ham Radio Club, and perhaps arrange a Patrol outing to the club in order to participate – SSA Covid regulations observed. A list of Amateur Radio clubs can be found here: http://www.sarl.org.za/public/local/ClubsList.asp
