♻️ #WorldCleanupDay is the world’s largest one-day event that brings together over 191 countries to tackle the global waste crisis! 🚮Thank you to our Scouting members that are out in force today and over the weekend to clean up a little piece of their world! ⚜️️

Today we also thank our partners World Organization of the Scout Movement – WOSM, Scouting in Africa and @fee_global for their ongoing support through the #LitterLess initiative. Together, we are teaching our Scouting children and youth to assess their own footprint, to clean up their communities, but also to adopt the circular economy model into their lifestyles.

For Scouting members in SA keeping our communities clean is more than just a one day event ⚜️. Meerkats, Cubs, Scouts, Rovers and volunteers around the country regularly clean up their communities, beaches, parks, schools and other public areas as part of their Scouting activities. The trash they collect gets recycled and where possible transformed into usable items e.g. eco bricks. Scouts do their best to create a #BetterWorld #scouts4sdgs! 🤩💜
