This year a mere “Thank You” seems insufficient to recognize the amazing work of our Scouting volunteers of all ages. Your service to our communities and the Scout Movement over the past year have been incredible.

Despite the challenges we all faced, you stepped up to ensure that people in need received support. You also learnt and implemented new skills so that Scouting could continue from home. You made sure that moments of fun, learning, camaraderie and peace were safely shared amidst the turmoil and distress caused by the pandemic.

You cared for one another and then went beyond that to assist others who were in dire need of a helping hand. In most years the positive impact of the work of Scouting volunteers for young people has been amazing. This year you went that step further and you showed us, and your communities, that regardless of our individual challenges, through Volunteering, we can create a better world.”
